2241 Easy Control Pelham double broken
2241 Baby Pelham Easy Control Double Jointed
The Stübben SteelTEC Easy Control bits are activated by strong, bilateral pressure from the horse, turning them into a bar bit. With normal contact with the reins and as soon as the rider or the horse relaxes, the bit becomes flexible again and can be used like a regular snaffle bit. This allows for precise yet mouth-friendly aids when needed.
Thanks to the effect of the Easy Control bit, horses often learn to hold back on their own as soon as the bar effect kicks in. Therefore, Easy Control bits should be used for training purposes for short periods, with regular checks to see if the desired learning effect has been achieved.
The Baby Pelham Easy Control has a leverage effect on the bars, chin, and poll. When the rider pulls the reins, the upper shank rotates forward, acting on the poll, while the lower shank tilts back, acting on the mouth and chin. The double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars.
This bit should always be used with caution and is not intended for horses that already show problems in basic training.

Note on Proper Use
Any bit can cause pain if used roughly and improperly, especially bits with leverage effects, so caution is advised. An incorrect size can also be painful for the horse. Please contact us if you have questions about size and fastening, or read more here about choosing the right size and about proper fitting.
Please ensure that Easy Control bits are regularly switched out to check for the desired training effect.
